Q. What is GraphoTherapy?
A. Graphotherapy is the practice of using handwriting as a personal development tool to change any aspect of your personality that can be changed by any other personal development tool.
For example: GraphoTherapy will not make you more intelligent, but it can assist you set higher goals, be more goal oriented, motivated etc.
Q. What about people who use computers all the time and seldom write?
A. No problem! Any personal development tool requires you to do whatever you it recommends as an exercise.
For example, if you want to lose weight, you go on a diet. You are probably not on a diet your entire life (unless you constantly want to lose weight) but you do what the diet recommends for the time that you are working on losing the weight.
So if you want to change some aspect or aspects of your personality using GraphoTherapy, you follow the instructions and do your writing exercises, usually about 10 – 15 minutes a day, until you achieve your goal. Q. How long does it take to make changes using GraphoTherapy?
A. It is recommended to make just one change at a time. This is both easier on you and more effective than trying to make several changes at once.
It takes 3 weeks to break a habit – and how you write is a habit.
And it takes longer, sometimes up to 3 months, depending on how stubbornly ingrained that habit was, to create a new, lasting habit… and the new habit in this case is your new handwriting strokes.
Q. How many changes can I make to my personality using GraphoTherapy?
A. As many as you like, just make sure you have one working naturally before you go on to the next one. And by that I mean, that the new writing stroke feels natural to you and you write it without having to stop and think about it.
